Laurence McDonagh: Co-Founder
The younger of the two brothers. One of my main passions in life is traveling. I love going to new places and meeting new people. Another one of my passions is golf. Both myself and my brother joined our local golf course back home in Ireland at a very young age. Our Dad had joined this club when he was in his 30’s and started playing golf for the first time. He is still a member now, playing in his 70’s. After graduating college I moved to New York to work, from there I travelled for a number of months. I met many great people abroad from all walks of life and I soon realised how meeting friendly locals with vast knowledge of their country can really change your experience of the destination. So after some brainstorming on my travels I decided to look into my own country of Ireland and what it has to offer tourists. That’s when I realised that the golf courses here on the Emerald Isle are arguably the greatest and most beautiful courses in the world. I’ve since moved back to New York where I work in a golf club.
Kelan McDonagh: Co-Founder
The more experienced golfer of the brothers. You may also recognise his silhouette on our logo of this exact photo. Kelan played on the amateur golf circuit in Ireland and around the world from the age of 10 right up to when he turned professional at the age of 26. During his amateur career he represented Ireland at many levels, including the University Olympics in China and the 2009 Men’s Home Internationals. He also won some prestigious tournaments during his amateur career, the 2009 Irish Youths Championship and possibly most notably the prestigious Mullingar Scratch cup. Kelan worked at both Lahinch Golf Club and Carton House Golf Club / Golf Ireland Academy during his time training to become a PGA Professional. Since qualifying as a PGA Professional in 2018, Kelan has moved to the USA and now plies his trade as Director of Instruction at Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, New Jersey. Kelan’s vast knowledge and experience of the Irish golf courses will ensure only the best golf courses are handpicked for your tour.
